Why are Pet Tags so important and which one should you pick?

Pet tags have long been used for an easy way to identify a pet if they become lost from their people.

You may have noticed the lost pet posts on social media groups, with someone asking "who owns this cat or dog", usually the pet doesn't have a collar, does have a collar with no tag on.

While microchipping is essential to ensure end to end identification especially for local councils and veterinarians, this doesn't help the average member of the public who will not have easy access to a scanner and or the national database, plus there are plenty of microchipped pets that aren't even owner registered! This is where pet tags come in useful.

Pet tags have also become a way for you to put something personalised on your pet which you have played a part in designing, you have chosen, it is an expression of your feelings and outward personality, as well as being

Why Laser Engraved tags?

Having lasered over 30,000 pet tags since our inception in 2020 we've perfected our craft and are able to laser high precision tags with over a 3000 different designs

Traditional engraving is very mechanical with strict limitations, laser engraving we can change the font and design as chosen by you!

Also because you can attach frickin' laser beams to sharks heads!

What style and material of pet tag should I choose?

It's important to remember that no pet tag will last forever, or look as good as it does when you first receive it, however some last much longer than others, and there are ways to improve longevity

If a tag is constantly rubbing against something else it will wear down more quickly i.e. the collar, or furniture, or in the case of our own cat Tuna - the gravel outside (her preferred outdoor rubbing spot).

If the tag is exposed to chemicals (external and internal flea/worming treatment, topical and internal medicines, bathing products) you may find the tag discolouring, this is completely normal.

You should always remove any collars and tags after applying flea treatment for up to 12 hours to protect them after.
